Theodore Harding Thomas

Theodore “Teddy” Thomas, age 80, of Fairbank, PA passed away at the Uniontown Hospital on March 6, 2024. He was born March 30, 1943, to the late Bill and Ruth Jones in Fairchance, PA.

Teddy had many admirable qualities and had many friends. He loved music and he loved to sing. He also loved to cook, and his food was enjoyed by members of the Dori Miller Post. During his life he was an honor guard at the Legions, owned his own bar in Uniontown, worked in construction, and worked in the coal mines. He was baptized under Rev. Guess at the New Salem Baptist Church in New Salem, PA. He loved his family and was especially proud to be a grandfather.

In addition to his parents is preceded in death by his daughter, Christy Thomas, siblings: Sheila Thomas, Freddy McFarland, Leroy Thomas, and his nieces: Chanel Johns, Kandis Hill, and Laudia Jones.

Teddy will be forever remember by his wife, Juanita Thomas; children: Maurice (Paul) Lunsford, of Pittsburgh, Regina Wene of Buffalo, NJ, Rochelle Thoams of Atlanta, GA, Edith Thomas Grayson of New Port Beach, VA, Robin Thomas of Montgomery County, MD, Theodore “Wamo” Thomas, Jr. of Charleroi, Monica Thomas of Uniontown, Greg Thomas of Morgantown, WV, Mark Thomas of Uniontown, Maria Lavell of Murraysville, Ryland (Crystal) of Charleston, S.C., and Lolita and Richard Thomas who were his grandkids that he raised; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; siblings: Betty (Van) Johnson of Hephzibah, GA; Barbara (Ronald “Bud”) Johns of Labelle, Chris Jones of Uniontown, Robert (Phyllis) Jones of Brownsville, Audra Jones of Clairton, Lena Jones of Charleroi, and sister-in-law, Louise McFarland of Columbus, OH; Frances Carter of Pittsburgh; brother-in-law, John Lambert of Newark, NJ; special cousin who was like a brother, Jimmy Tucker,  grandchildren and best buddies: Kyah, Devan, Raven, and Gabriel; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Friends will be received at the New Beginnings Full Gospel Church, 74 Pennsylvania Ave, Uniontown on Saturday, March 16th from 12-2 PM, the hour of service with Bishop Leonard Tucker officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Thomas Cemetery in Hopwood, PA.
