Sylvia Ann (Beckwith) Ramsey, 79, of Uniontown, PA passed away at the Uniontown Hospital on June 5, 2019.  She was born the daughter of James and Hester Rae Beckwith on April 17, 1940.

Sylvia was a life-long resident of Uniontown where she raised her family and worked in the restaurant industry.  She was a member of the City Chapel Church in Uniontown, PA.  Sylvia was a beautiful woman with a kind heart and was loved by many.

In addition to her parents, Sylvia is predeceased by her husband, Allan Ramsey; son, Brian Beckwith; siblings: Evelyn Giles, Margaret Love, Flora Snyder, James Beckwith, Winfred Beckwith, Robert “Bobby” Beckwith, and Wilbert Beckwith.

She leaves behind beautiful memories for her son, Greg (Julie) Beckwith of Midlothian, VA; grandchildren: Chelsi, B,J and Brittany Beckwith and D’auria Bryant; sister, Elizabeth Walton of Uniontown, PA; brothers-in-law: Brent (Joyce) Ramsey of Uniontown and Edison (Audrey)Harrison of Washington, DC; sister-in-law, Patricia Hairston; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at the LANTZ Funeral Home, Inc., 297 E. Main St, Uniontown, PA on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of service with Rev. Leonard Kirby eulogizing.  Interment will immediately follow at Mt. Moriah Baptist Cemetery in Smithfield, PA.
