Samuel A. Wilson, Jr.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved father, Samuel Alfonzo Wilson, Jr., age 82,  who passed away on September 1, 2024 at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh. 

Sam was preceded in death by his parents: Samuel Alfonzo Wilson Sr. and Ella (Brown) Wilson. He was born April 16, 1942 in La Belle, PA.  

After graduating High School, Sam went on to work in the coal mine in Isabella, PA. Sam was an avid reader of books.  He loved sports and was a Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Steelers enthusiast. 

Sam was dearly loved.  He leaves to cherish his memory five children: Rodney Bell of Uniontown, Samuel Ray (Julia) Wilson of Colorado Springs, CO, Dara (Eric) Wilson-Wilbert of Colorado Springs, CO, Sandy Wilson of Republic PA, Steven Wilson of CT; Eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings: Eugene (Linda) Wilson of Brownsville, Pa), Thomas Wilson of Washington, PA. 

In addition to his parents, Sam is preceded in death by his siblings: William Wilson, Morgan Wilson, and Emma Jean Wilson.

Professional arrangements are under the direction of LANTZ Funeral Home, Inc., 297 E. Main St, Uniontown, PA. Services are private.
