Richard G. Frye (Chickie) transitioned from this world into the arms of God on August 25, 2021. He was born to the late George and Geraldine Frye on May 20, 1946. As well as his parents he was preceded by the death of his Laverne (Frye) Garrick, brother Milford (Nuddy) Frye and nephew Richard M. Frye. He was raised in Allison #1, PA. and graduated from Redstone Senior High School in 1964 . He loved to sing and was a member of the school choir. While growing up in the country he and his friends spent many days singing on the streets in the community. They also used to pack snacks and sneak into the woods to watch movies at the Brownsville Drive-In. He moved to Gary Indiana and worked in the steel Mills. He moved back to the Republic area after a few years and worked as bartender at the Camolot Inn and Greystone Bar in Republic. He worked as a supervisor at Call Tech Communications until retirement. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. He enjoyed life and spent weekend's singing kareoke and participating in contests in which he won first place in many. People would come from all around to hear him sing and enjoy his company. He was noted for signing Mustang Sally, the crowds favorite. He was also on the committee of all his highschool class reunions. He loved coming together with former classmates and never missed a reunion. Left to cherish his memory is his sister, the pride and joy of his life, Joy (Alvin) Thompson in Florida, niece Vinita (Jason) Adams in Maryland, great niece's LaShae Birt ,Jasmine Birt, Dominique Williams, Lattice Williams, Davonya Williams and Keshia Williams in Maryland. Great great nephews Richard Williams, Connor Williams and Logan Birt. Great great niece's Kamora Williams, Lyric Williams and Ava Birt all in Maryland.
