Rhonda Randall Obituary

Rhonda J. Randall, age 71, of Uniontown, PA slept in to the arms of her loving Savior, Jesus, on February 7, 2025, at UPMC Presby Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 28, 1953, the last of six children born to the late Daniel and Alberta (Good) Ford in Uniontown, PA.

Rhonda was baptized at an early age at Mt. Rose Baptist Church and was honored recently for being a 50- plus year member. She served as Asst. Church Clerk, sang in the Gospel Chorus and YWBA Mass Choir. She loved her Mt. Rose Family and Pastor James.  On any given Sunday afternoon you could find Rhonda at any church that was having a service. She enjoyed fellowship with all of God’s children.

Rhonda graduated from Uniontown Area High School, and Bradford School of Business. She was employed at Columbia Gas for over 38 years until her retirement in 2009.  Rhonda was also Daughter Ruler of Evening Star Temple # 85.

Rhonda was the loving, doting mother and grandmother to a wonderful, dedicated daughter Lakea Randall and granddaughter Kemaura Vance. They were the absolute center of her joy.

Rhonda had a special relationship with every one of her sisters.  She was a second mom to all of her nieces and nephews who adored her. She loved them all just like she had birthed them herself. She had a special dedication to all of her family and friends and she never met a stranger. She treated everyone with dignity and respect and even when Rhonda was sick herself she found time to take care of others.

Rhonda was a great cook and baker and was always blessing someone with cookies and cakes. She will always be loved and remembered for her wonderful smile and beautiful spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Patricia “Wista” Tigney; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Johnson, Sr., Charles Tigney Sr., and Robert “Bo” Smith; nephew, Kevin Johnson, and many other relatives.

Rhonda struggled with Sarcoidosis for over 20 years. She went through a double lung transplant just 5 years ago. She fought a good fight and kept her faith. Rhonda and her sister Dana Thomas shared a sister/ best friend bond from birth and God allowed Dana to walk Rhonda’s journey with her every step of the way.

She went through a lot of ups and downs with her illness and even up to the end Rhonda Never Lost Her Praise.

She leaves to cherish her many wonderful memories, her daughter, Lakea Randall and granddaughter, Kemaura Vance--both of Verona, PA.; sisters: Donna Ford, of Philadelphia, PA, Carla Johnson of Uniontown, PA, Carol Y. Smith of Brownsville, PA,  Dana (James “Jim Pete”) Thomas of Uniontown, PA, and Deidre Harris of Erie, PA; two special nieces who were like daughters, Danetra Dillard and Shawna Felder; sister cousins: Estelle June Thomas, Clara (Wesley) Dennis, and Elizabeth Hooper—all from Uniontown PA; aunt; Linda Good of Hampton, VA; her loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews; special friends: Ronda Owens and Agnes Harris; her Ford, Good, Davis, McLee, Columbia Gas, and Elk families, and so many other relatives and close friends who will forever miss her.

Friends will be received at the Mt. Rose Baptist Church, 9 S. Grant St, Uniontown, PA on Friday, February 14th from 5 PM – 8 PM; the funeral will be on Saturday, February 15th at 10 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery in Uniontown.
