Rev. Alfred L. Jones Sr.

Reverend Alfred L. Jones, Sr., age 81, of Uniontown, PA passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Ruby Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Alfred was born December 29, 1944, to the late James and Dorothy (Lockette) Jones in Uniontown, PA.

In addition to his parents, Alfred is preceded in death by his brothers, Casey Jones and Floyd Jones and his sisters, Francis Hill, Rose Marie Thomson, and Claudia Williamson.

Alfred graduated from Redstone High School in 1961. He later attended Penn State University, where he studied accounting for several years. He was employed by Volkswagen from 1973 until its closure in 1988. Afterward he worked various jobs before finding his professional home at AutoZone, where he dedicated 27 years of service before retiring. Alfred was also an ordained minister for 40 years and a faithful member of the Signal of Light Church of Edenborn, PA.

Alfred enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and fellowshipping with his brothers and sisters in Christ.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Surritta Jones; his sons: Alfred L. Jones (fiancée, Lanae Brock) and Aaron J. Jones (wife, Sheena); and his grandchildren: Danielle, Noah, and Joshua; six stepchildren, ten step-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
