On February 17, 2025, Patricia (Patty) Dotson, 72, of California, PA passed away into the arms of God with family at her side. She was born in Brownsville, PA on February 22, 1952, to the late Robert Louis Warren and Lucretia Allen. 

Patty was a 1970 graduate of Brownsville Area High School. After graduating, she attended California College and Uniontown Beauty School for hair dressing. 

Patty loved movies, crocheting, arts and crafts, baking, and blues music. She was raised in the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in Brownsville, PA where she was a member of the famous children’s choir as a child. 

Patty loved to laugh and had an amazing sense of humor and a wonderful smile to match her witty humor. She was married to her ex-husband, Solomon Dotson. She never remarried but met the love of her life, Mr. Richard James of Donora, PA whom brought amazing joy to her life.  

Patty loved attending church, concerts at YWBA, bingo, and activities with friends and family. She was an amazing mother, friend, sister, daughter, cousin, aunt, neighbor, and grandmother. She was caring and always made time for anyone who needed her.

Patty was preceded in death by her son, Andrew Clark Dotson; birth parents, Robert Louis Warren and Lucretia Allen; mother, Vernna Mae Warren; brothers: Chuckie Pratt and Jeremiah Allen Jr.; cousin, Marline Smith; and great childhood friend, Toni Beniford.

Patricia is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Douglas (Tammi) Dotson of Masontown, PA; daughter, Tiona (Rob) Lippencott of Waynesburg, PA; sisters: Paulette Allen of Mobile, AL, Diane Bunch of Pittsburgh, PA, Faye (Jay) Johnson of Riverview, FL, and Mary Jordan of Richmond, VA; brother, Earl Allen of Mobile, AL; close cousin, Robin Smith of Waldorf, MD; bonus daughter, Jessica Sledge;  10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; a special goddaughter, Jessica Durant; and friends. 

Patricia’s laughter, witty nature, caring demeanor, and beautiful smile will truly be missed.

Services are entrusted to LANTZ Funeral Home, Inc., 297 E. Main St, Uniontown, PA where a memorial gathering  will be held on Saturday, March 1st from 12 PM - 1 PM; and the memorial service will immediately follow.
