Nancy Jane Floyd, 75, of Miromar Lakes, FL and formerly of Uniontown, PA went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 7, 2019 with her loving family at her side. Nancy was born the daughter of the late Robert and Lavinia Scott.
Nancy retired after 25 years of employment as a Medical Secretary in Washington DC and Uniontown Hospital. Nancy was a member of the Mt. Ararat Church in Cardale, PA and most recently a member of Summit Church in Estero, FL and her favorite scripture was the 23rd Psalm.
Nancy loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed doing crafts and decorating for any special occasion. She was known as the “Queen of Games” and was always up for a friendly battle which she often won. Most importantly she possessed a Godly gift that allowed her to love beyond limits and to bring joy to every life she encountered.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded by 6 sisters (Thelma Walters, Adelaide Bryant, Clara Perkins, Bonita Scott, Pherbie Scott, and Gloria Wilson) and 3 brothers (Houston, Oliver, and Milton Scott). Nancyleaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 54 years Gilbert Floyd, Sr, daughters Clarice Floyd of Hughesville, MD, Bonita Floyd of Uniontown, PA and son Gilbert Floyd, Jr. of Estero, FL; siblings: Robert Scott, Jr. (Patricia) of Uniontown, PA, Ida Henderson ofMonroeville, PA and Mildred “Carol” Harrison (Gary) of Uniontown, PA and sister in laws, Elizabeth Moffet and Surrita Floyd, and a host of nieces, nephews and friendswho loved her dearly.
