Melvin Morgan, Sr.

Melvin Morgan Sr., age 65, of Uniontown, PA went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 4, 2024. He was born on August 25, 1958, in Connellsville to the late Nathaniel Lomar Morgan II & Mary Elizabeth (Walker) Morgan.

In addition to his parents, Melvin was preceded in death by his siblings: Tina Marie Morgan, Albert Lee Morgan, and Nathaniel Lomar Morgan, Ill; and his dog, Boscoe.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Ronette Morgan; his loving children: Mariena Workman (Moses) of Pittsburgh, PA, Melvin Morgan Jr. (Paige) of Uniontown, and Blake Morgan of Uniontown; grandchildren: Malia, Melachi, Maya, Paisley and Paladin; siblings: Betty Elizabeth Davis (Kevin) of Uniontown, PA, Marlene Morgan of Pittsburgh, Gloria Morgan Jacobs (Evan) of Charlotte, NC, Anita Lynn Clark (Fredrick) of Pittsburgh, Amanda Jointer of Uniontown, PA, and Henry Jointer (Jackie) of Cave Creek, AZ; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Melvin spent years in the Navy was stationed aboard the USS Berkeley in San Diego, CA. He also worked at Allegheny Power for many years. Melvin loved cars and collecting antique models. He enjoyed music, history, talking about UFOs, playing the drums, working with his hands, restoring things, and gaming. He was known as the prankster of the family and enjoyed reminiscing with his kids about past pranks - they would all laugh so hard until they cried.

Melvin will be greatly missed, but his family and friends will always remember the wonderful person that he was and the belly laughs he caused.

A memorial will service will held for Melvin at the LANTZ Funeral Home, Inc., 297 E. Main St., Uniontown, PA on Thursday, March 14th from 12:00 – 2:00 PM.
