LuAnn Singleton

LuAnn Singleton, age 69, of Whitsett, PA passed away at her home with her family by her side. She was born on December 12, 1954, in Whitsett, PA to the late Donald R. and Mary (Johnson) Singleton.

LuAnn came to Christ at an early age and faithfully attended and actively supported her church, Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Whitsett, PA. She loved kids and cared for many children in her family and community. She enjoyed cooking. Her favorite thing to do daily was to read her two newspapers so that she could keep an eye on what was going on in her community and the world. For over 25 years, she was employed as a cashier at Save a Lot in Perryopolis, PA. LuAnn was a graduate of Frazier High School and earned her associate degree from Duff’s Business Institute.

LuAnn leaves to cherish her memory, her special friend, Calvin (Curt) Ramsey; siblings: Lonnie (Margaret) Singleton of Belle Vernon, PA, Rev. Donna Lowe of Washington, PA, Debbie Singleton of Whitsett, PA, and Cynthia “Penny” (Harry) Price of Johnstown, PA; two nieces; 6 nephews; 17 great-nieces and nephews; one great-great niece; other family and friends.

Friends will be received at the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 120 Pilgrim St., Perryopolis, PA on Monday, November 25th from 3 PM to 7 PM. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, November 26th at 11 AM with Pastor Donna Lowe eulogizing. Interment is private.
