Loretta Anderson, of Uniontown, Pa.(formerly of Brownsville, Pa) was born in Canonsburg, Pa.
on October 3,1958 to Lurline Lewis and Grant Griffin. She was one of six children. Three of her
siblings passed away before her: sister, Linda Moon and brothers, Darnell Lewis, Jason Lewis
and Robert Lewis. Her step-son, Richard Anderson III also preceded her in death. On October
15, 2021 Loretta was called to her eternal home at the age of 63. She passed away peacefully at
Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia surrounded by her loving husband and
family.
Loretta was a faithful, loving, and supportive wife, as well as a great mother, sister and friend.
She was dearly loved by her in-laws. Loretta's greatest joy was her family. She cherished having
family around her; the more the merrier. Loretta may have been small in stature but she had a
big personality. She loved to have conversations with people and she loved to laugh. She was
easily amused with humor and her smile was infectious. She often attended gatherings with her
husband when he would DJ. She loved to dance and just have a good time! Loretta was an avid
Steeler fan and enjoyed rooting for her team. She also loved to cook and her family loved to eat.
Loretta attended Conrail High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and eventually obtained a
CNA. She was employed in multiple Nursing Home facilities, retiring from Uniontown Health
Care this year. She enjoyed caring for the patients and was loved by all.
Loretta's memory will be cherished by her husband, Richard Anderson, Jr., children Jason Lewis,
Shawnta Lewis, Michael (Ashley) Anderson, step-daughter Michelle Anderson and step-sons
Kevin (Lisa) Anderson, Brian (Lisa) Harris, sister, Corrine Hackett, in-laws; Sharon Green,
Deborah (Vandyke) Rowell, Gerald Anderson, a close friend Kim Brackins, 7 grandchildren, 3
great-grandchildren, uncles, aunts, cousins, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends
