Lloyd Milton Birt

Lloyd Milton Birt, the son of the late Arnett and Susan Birt, was born February 27,1954. Lloyd went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, and is survived by his wife, Barbara A. Birt, of Tampa, Florida. Lloyd and Barbara celebrated their first wedding anniversary on February 18, 2024. Lloyd was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of College Hill under the pastorate of Rev. Burrows, where he sang in the men’s choir. Lloyd, a God-fearing man, always had a smile on his face, a pleasant spirit, and a kind word to say. Lloyd graduated from Laurel Highlands School District in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, and briefly attended Penn State where he studied Theater Arts and Architecture. He retired as a supervisor from Emerald Mining in Pittsburgh, PA. Lloyd met his lovely wife and eventually moved to Florida to enjoy the warm sunny weather in 2017. Florida became a vacationing spot, and holidays became an annual tradition for the entire family. Lloyd enjoyed spending time with his wife traveling, fishing, going to the movies, bowling, picnics in the park, festivals, concerts and watching football. Lloyd was an avid Steelers fan. 

Lloyd leaves loving memories with devoted wife, Barbara A. Birt; daughter, Tara Phillips (Mark) of Pittsburgh; son, Lloyd M. Birt, Jr. (Leigh Ann) of Pittsburgh, PA; step- daughters, Gina Jones, Marsha Jones and Jecoah Jones; step-sons, George Jones, Chad Jones, and Garrick Jones all of Lancaster, PA; brothers, Monty Birt, Cedric Birt, and Carmen Birt of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren, Mya, Tamia, Lloyd III, and Mark Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and close

friends.
