Linnie G. Yancey

Linnie G Yancey 48 went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 29, 2022 with his loving family by his side at Saint Joseph Mercy Oakland Linnie was born on October 23, 1973 in Pontiac Michigan he was the son of Linwood Nealy and Denise Yancey. Linnie graduated from Pontiac northern in 1991.  Linnie was a member of Deliverance church of god and Christ as an adult Linnie had many careers he work at Saint Joseph mercy Oakland in the transport department and Home Depot years later he went on to work at Saint Joseph mercy Oakland as a valet.  Linnie along with his cousin Dwayne Craggette where football coach’s for inner-city youth and won several championships.  Linnie was an avid wrestling fan from childhood Linnie attended several live events including Monday night raw Friday night smack down and even the bigger events  such as wrestle mania, hell in the cell Linnie love to go to the live shows. Linnie also loved to travel with his wife from the first time they took a cruise for their honeymoon Linnie and his wife would cruise every year until he was no longer able to travel internationally due to having dialysis. Linnie was also an actor his big break came when he appeared in the TV drama Detroit 187.  Linnie had several movie and TV stars that where is friends. Linnie love to laugh and make everyone smile he loved cracking jokes just to see someone smile.

Linnie was a hard-working unique and loving individual Linnie’s always put his family first especially his wife Christina his Children, mother Denise, sisters and his beloved grandmother Lorraine Nealy which he cared for until his passing. Linnie’s was preceded in death by his grandfather Wilbert Nealy father Linnwood Nealy, uncle Leon Nealy and his beloved uncle Lawrence Nealy who was like a second father to him he leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 11 years Christina his children Linnie G Yancey jr, Shamauria Bell, Samaj Vassar, Layla and jaiden Yancey. His mother Denise Harper grandmother Lorraine Nealy sisters Terra Swift (Harper) husband Byron Swift Niece's Ny'eliah West and Gianna Swift sister Patricia Harper-Bynum husband  Keith Bynum  nephews  Javin Harper  and J'Veon  Harper sister LaShika Pierce Camara niece Afia Badu Zeinab Maria Canara nephew Alpha Mahmoud Camara his brother in law Marc Vassar mother in law Myrna Crable his Goddaughter Addy Thomas and God son Kamren Johnson special cousins Theresa Pratt Anderson Michael Hooper, Greg Morton, Dwayne Craggette, Lawrence Nealy jr.  and his best friend Rodney Harris as well as a host of uncles, aunts cousins and many many friends.
