Linda Hayden Obituary

Linda Darnell Hayden was born on the blessed day of September 8, 1951 to the late William Wilson and Richie Rose Wilson-Woods in Birmingham, AL. She met the love of her life while in Highschool, the late Steve Phillip Hayden. They were married shortly after Highschool Graduation. Linda gave birth to her one and only child, Christine Elizabeth Hayden-Martin, at 22 years old. Linda and Steve divorced later in life and always remained friends. Linda was the oldest of all her 7 siblings: William, Claude, Tim, Ken, Kenalita, Arlene and Darlene.

Linda was a CNA for Hospice she provided care and love to those in need. She would sit with patients for hours on end and if death were imminent, she would stay overnight because she didn't want her patients to be alone when they passed away.

Linda accepted Christ at an early age. As Linda aged, her relationship with God became stronger. She loved God more than any earthly possession. She studied her Bible daily and she knew his word. She felt his word, she lived his word. Linda would become friends with anyone she met. She had the biggest smile. Everyone would come to her for advice. Linda became Big Mama to everyone and the Honorary Mayor of her Neighborhood.

Linda's ex-husband, Steve P. Hayden and her brother, William R. Wilson preceded her in death. Linda leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Christine E. Martin (Theodore); 6 siblings: Claude D. Wilson (Tonya), Timothy Wilson (Linda), James K. Wilson (Hettie), Kenalita V. Moore (Roderick), Arlene Thacker (Ricky), and Darlene; three grandchildren: Christopher Dominique Martin, Creanna Latoya Martin, and Craytonio Darnell Martin and a host of nieces and nephews.

A private memorials service will be held to honor her life on Friday, May 28th.

Professional arrangements are under the care of LANTZ Funeral Home, Inc., 297 E. Main St, Uniontown, PA.
