Laura Ann Settles, 51 of Allison #1; the youngest of seven siblings; was born to Dolores Jean Johnson Settles and Oscar Clemons, Jr. on March 12, 1968. She graduated from Brownsville Area High School, Class of 1986. During her high school years, Laura Ann was a member of the girl’s volleyball and softball teams. She was an outstanding first baser and earned several athletic awards.
After high school, Laura Ann pursued a culinary career with, Hardees, a restaurant previously operated in Uniontown, PA and due to her hard work and dedication, she was promoted to Assistant Manager. After the closing of Hardees, Laura Ann was employed at Wendy’s for the remainder of her career.
Laura Ann is survived by her daughter, Whitney Ann Wilson; son, Henry Albert Wilson, III; two-grandsons: Jayden Long and Chanden Clevenger; sisters: Caroline Johnson, Sally Smith (John, Jr.), and Rendie Settles; brothers: Anthony Settles, Sr., Elston Settles, Dayton Settles (LuAnn), and Dewayne Penn Clemons (Tina), Nieces; Dawnnisha, DeAlva, Saleita, Jerree, Shelby, Samya, and Venetra; nephews: John III, Dajuan, Wallace, Anthony Jr., Antwuan, Treshawn, and Cedric; great nephews: De’Onte, John IV; aunts: Yvonne Johnson, Louise Johnson, and numerous cousins and friends.
Laura Ann loved attending family gatherings with her children, grandchildren, siblings, and their children. She loved listening to music while maintaining her home. Laura Ann will be deeply missed by her family.
