Kimberly Burrell

November 10, 1959 ~ February 20, 2024 (age 64) 64 Years Old

Kimberly Burrell Obituary

Kimberly Jo Burrell, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully in her home on February 20, 2024, she was 64 years old. She was born to Janet Burrell and the late Henry Gamble on November 10, 1959, in Uniontown.

Kimberly was the youngest of three children to her mother; but was the second oldest of her father’s thirteen children.

She was a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School, class of 1978. After graduating,  she earned her degree in restaurant and hotel management.

Kimberly loved the Lord Jesus Christ and was a member of Mount Olivet Baptist Church. She was a volunteer of the Foster Grandparent program.

Kimberly was a mother of two children--her son, Ariane C. Burrell and daughter, Alexis Burrell--both of Uniontown. She also was a grandmother of three grandchildren, Julien Frame, and granddaughters: Czcarra Burrell and Aryaana Burrell, whom she loved very deeply.

She loved playing board games with her granddaughters, especially Scrabble. She enjoyed completing color by numbers and crossword puzzles. She loved to travel and shop, “beauty time.” She loved watching old reruns of Good Times, the Jeffersons, and the Andy Griffith show. Her all-time favorite was the Flintstones. Kimberly loved all genres of music and had a wide range of collections. Her favorite entertainer of all time was Michael Jackson.

Kimberly was a particularly good writer and kept detailed journals of her life. Her beautiful talents and creative spirit were displayed through her arts and crafts. She loved to create and decorate; and could make something out of nothing and turned that nothing into something beautiful. She was fearfully and wonderfully made.

She had a big sensitive heart that she wore on her sleeve. She was thoughtful, loving, and funny, yet at times stern and always kept it real.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Diane “Mindy” Burrell, Wallace Burrell, Ryan Gamble, Adam Gamble, and Keith Gamble.

She is survived by her mother, Janet Burrell; children: Ariane C. Burrell and Alexis Burrell; grandchildren: Julien Frame, Czcarra Burrell, and Aryaana Burrell; siblings: Brandi Gamble, Kim Gamble, Daryl Gamble, Brandon Gamble, and many other brothers and sisters; aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins; family friends: Elliott Sherman Sledge, Terri Thomas, and childhood friends of 50 plus years: Barbara Ann Jones and Stanton Ramsey.

We are all brokenhearted by your unexpected passing. You are loved and missed dearly by your family and friends. You will forever be in our hearts and will never be forgotten. It makes sense why your favorite color was yellow, as you are now showered in the true Son-shine of life. We love you mom.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.” John 11:25-27
