Jerome Edwards  72 born on April 3, 1952, at Brownsville Hospital, peacefully passed away August 28th, 2024 in Glen Burnie MD surrounded by love. 

Jerome was baptized at Rising Star Baptist Church of Adah, PA, by Rev. James L. Cherry. 
He spent many years working as a coal miner at Consol, where his dedication and hard work were well-known among his peers. After years of service, he retired, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and strength.

Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Hugh Edwards and Josephine Edwards; his brothers, Willie Joseph Edwards and Eugene Stanley Edwards; and his sister, Retha Jean Edwards.

He is survived by his daughters: Tiffany Danielle Edwards (Tyrone Swen) of Glen Burnie, MD and  Shaneen Carson (Jeff) Of Connisvile Pa;  Grandchildren;  Shelaya Tay Edwards-Sayles, Xuan Sun Sayles Jr., Dominic Craig and Kayla Carson. 

Jerome is also survived by his devoted siblings: Shirley Burden of Norristown, PA; Sandra Edwards of Bronx, NY; Lottie M. Edwards of Pittsburgh, PA; Edith G. Skaggs (Richard) of Grimesland, NC; Rev Carl Edwards (Paulette) of Masontown, PA; Vivian Mosley of Pittsburgh, PA; and Suzette Edwards of Philadelphia, PA. He also leaves behind a large extended family, including nephews, nieces, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many other relatives and friends who will deeply miss him.

Jerome's life was characterized by his love for his family, his strong faith, and his tireless work ethic. He touched many lives with his kindness and strength, and his memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
