Jeffrey S. Stokes. Sr.

Jeffrey S. Stokes, Sr., age 65, of Brownsville, PA died at home with his family by his side on August 24, 2024. He was born February 9, 1959, in Brownsville to Donald Owens and Elizabeth Stokes Owens. 

Jeffrey was a 1983 graduate of Brownsville Are Senior High School.  He enjoyed going fishing. He was employed at Amazon in Pittsburgh, PA.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents:  William and Hattie Stokes; aunts: Irma Dates, Norma Curry, Ernestine Baker, and Rose Ellis; uncles: Max Stallworth and Grover Stallworth.

He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Donald and Elizabeth Owens; children: Terrell (Mia) Thomas and Anthony (Tara) Sheffey; brother, Kenneth Poole, Sr.; nephew, Kenneth Poole, Jr.; niece, Kennita Tomlin; aunt, Ann Freeman; special friends: Diane, Shirley, and Andrea; special nurses who care for him: Pam and Maggie, and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services are entrusted to LANTZ Funeral Home, Inc., 297 E. Main St, Uniontown, PA where friends will be received on Tuesday, September 3rd from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM with Bishop Leonard Tucker, officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Brownsville.
