James A. Harvey, Jr.

James A. Harvey, Jr., age 82, of Uniontown, PA passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025, at the Bella Healthcare Center in Uniontown. He was born on August 27, 1942, in Chestnut Ridge, PA. He was the son of the late Lena B. and Luther Harrison, Jr., and his biological father, James A. Harvey, Sr.

James was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Grindstone, PA. In his younger days, James enjoyed fishing, playing softball, and talking about the good old days.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Thorpe Harvey, and his brother, Ronald D. “Globe” Harrison, Sr.

James leaves to mourn his children: Lisa Bell, Marcia Howell, and LeToya (Robert) Craig; stepson, Travis (Adrienne) Frye; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings: Patricia Byrd-Smith, Cynthia (Carlos) Hackett, Gary E. Harrison, and Nuwanna L. Harrison, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services are entrusted to LANTZ Funeral Home, Inc., 297 E. Main St., Uniontown, PA where friends will be received on Saturday, June 21st from 11 AM – 1 PM; the funeral will begin at 1 PM with Pastor Cynthia Hackett eulogizing.
