Georgetta M. Frye, age 79, of Brownsville, PA passed away peacefully on March 10, 2024, at the Mt Macrina Manor in Uniontown. She was born June 16, 1944, in Brownsville to the late Frank and Ida Bell (Johnson) Hungerford.

Georgetta was an avid bingo player. She was a member of Crosskeys Human Services and a pillar to the Dunlap Creek Village and Snowden Terrace communities.

In addition to her parents, Georgetta is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde “Arthur” Frye; brothers: William “Flip”, Frank, Archie, George, Herbert, and John

Hungerford; sisters: Gertrude Reddix, Victoria Pennington, Henrietta and Frankie Bell Hungerford.

Left to celebrate her loving memories are her children: Marcia Howell, Lisa Bell, and Travis (Adrienne) Frye; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sisters: Sarah Sanders and Louella Forte; nieces and nephews; her God-children: Misti Thomas, LaShawnda Ford, and Clarence Branson; her best friend/sister, Cynthia Cherry, and a host of other friends.

Friends will be received at the LANTZ Funeral Home, Inc., 297 E. Main Street Uniontown, PA on Sunday, March 24th from 1 PM -3 PM. The funeral service will begin at 3 PM with Rev. Cynthia Hackett officiating.
