George Lewis Overton was born February 25, 1938 in Leckrone, Pa. Born to the late Robert and Leona Overton Sr. he was one of eight children whom have all proceeded him into his heavenly home. He was educated in the German Township school system and proudly served fifteen years in the United States Army. Upon his discharge for the Army he returned home and worked as an electrician. He was ordained into the ministry in the early 80's an served the Lord the faithfully.

 

Those who remain to cherish his loving memory are three children Virgil Gene Overton (Janice), Gia Flannigan (Jeff), and Tawana Mills. Grand children Juan, Virgil II, Alexis, Raylin, and Rian. Great grandchildren Victoria, Sophia, Dazhe, Asjuante, and one great great grandchild Kj-uante. His special niece Iris Juanita Overton and two special nephews Alfred Lewis Jones and Aaron James Jones. Two special and supportive loving friends Amos and Betty Saunders as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
