Fred “The Foxx” Kinney, 84, of Uniontown, Pa passed away on October 11, 2018 at home with his family by his side. He was born May 21, 1934 to Minnie and Luther Kinney in Elizabeth, Pa.
He was married to Linda Ramsey Kinney and was a graduate of Redstone High School. Fred worked at the Homestead Mills for 32 years and was enlisted in the U.S. Airforce where he fought in the Korean War from 1952-1956.
In addition to his parents, Fred is predeceased by his daughter, Shauna Kinney; sisters: Mary Brown and Elizabeth Ford; and brother, Luther Kinney.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda; children: Freida Kinney of Pittsburgh; Mark Kinney of Monongahela; and Andre, Kent, and Simone Ramsey of Uniontown; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Claudette Chism of Pittsburgh; brother, Robert Kinney of Blairsville, Md; special friend, Rogene Truly; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, October 19, 2018 at LANTZ Funeral Home, Inc., 297 E. Main St, Uniontown, Pa from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the hour of service will begin at 1 p.m. Interment will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies where he will be saluted with a military detail.
