Elaine F. (Davis) Minor

Elaine F. Davis Minor, age 91, of Uniontown, PA, passed away on January 15, 2026, at home with her family by her side. Elaine was born March 27, 1934, in Uniontown, to the late John Lee and Mable (Price) Davis.

In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Tompson Minor, Sr.; son, Jerry A. Minor, Sr.; grandson, Jerry A. Minor, Jr.; granddaughter, Janette A. Minor; siblings: Alberta Waller, John Davis, Robert Vassar, twin sister, Evelyn Thomas, and Katherine Dalton.

Elaine’s favorite thing to do every morning was to have coffee and toast with her twin, Evelyn in their "house dresses" and make donut holes for her grandchildren. Elaine was a loving but tuff granny with a wooden spoon in her hand, and she babysat most of her grandchildren while their parents worked. Elaine worked several jobs but being chief baby-sitter gave her the most pleasure. She also served as a faithful usher for many years at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church where she helped start the cradle row, for the newborn babies.

Elaine is survived by her children: Thompson (Lena) Minor, Jr., Doreen (Ronnie) Minor-Miniafee, Kevin Minor and Derek (Karen) Minor; siblings: Geraldine Jackson, James Davis, Margo Francis, Phillip Vassar, and Myrna Crable; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren. and adopted grandchildren, adopted daughters, Kyra and Joanne, and a host of nephews and nieces.
