Born on September 29, 1971, Don was a proud graduate of Ringgold High School and later earned his degree from Waynesburg College in Elementary Education. He had a deep passion for fishing and gardening, often finding peace and joy in the outdoors. Known for his curiosity and sharp mind, he was remarkably tech-savvy and always eager to learn about the latest gadgets. Despite the challenges of dialysis treatments over the past five years, he faced every day with strength, humor, and resilience.
Don shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Mama Lucy, who never left his side and brought him endless comfort and companionship. He was a loving son, a devoted father, and a loyal friend.
He is survived by his parents, Barbara Wingfield and Rev. Dr. Richard Wingfield, his two children, Dondiago Wingfield Jr (Brynne-Lei) and Danyle Wingfield, who were the pride and joy of his life; his sister, Darlene Wingfield; and his brother, Tyrone Wingfield. Don leaves behind a large and loving family, including a multitude of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom adored their Uncle Don and will cherish his memory forever.
His love for family extended far beyond his immediate circle. He shared close, lifelong bonds with Larry Pope, Terry Brownfield, and Greg Turcheck, who were as dear to him as brothers.
Dondiago is preceded in death by his sister, Doris Wingfield.
