Daley D. Jones, Jr.

Daley D. “Jimmy” Jones, Jr., age 83, departed this earthly life on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at his home. He was born to the late Daley D. Jones, Sr. and Eva Cotman ones in Virginia on August 2, 1940.

Jimmy graduated from South Union High School. Soon after, he joined the U.S. Marines, and he was proud to service his nation. He was employed throughout his life with various employers. Jimmy lived a full life, and he was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. He was always a pleasure to be around. His smile brought joy to those he knew.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy is preceded in death by his brother, Sylvester “PJ” Jones; ex-wife, Dorothey Jones; son Derrick Jones, and grandsons: Raji Ross and Paja Jones.

Jimmy leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Cheryl Jones of Uniontown, PA; children: Darnell (Nancy) Jones of DC, Robert (Erica) Graham of Georgia, David (Leslie) Ross of W.V., Damon Johnson of Uniontown, Barbara Bursten-Jones of Uniontown, Shawne Ross of Pittsburgh, Monique (James) McCrae of Uniontown; sister, Estelle Jones-Crenshaw of Virginia; bonus children: Isis Lovett, Damon Lovett, Quino Greenhill, Alenenia (Paul) Meta, Paris Lovett, and Jamar Lovett; Godson, P.J. Lovett; special friends: Angie Ross, Flora Cohon, Gloria Graham; 38 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends will be received at the LANTZ Funeral Home, Inc., 297 E. Main St., Uniontown, PA on Saturday, January 13th from 12 PM – 2 PM. The funeral service will begin at 2 PM.
