Corrine Lewis Hacket, age 64, of Brownsville, PA passed away on February 23, 2025. She was born on December 26, 1959, the daughter of the late William and Lurline Lewis Gibson in Canonsburg, PA.
Corrine was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Grindstone, PA. She always had a smile on her face. She was the life of the party and she was a joy to be around. She was great at braiding hair. She had a way of making people feel comforted by her presence. She was a wonderful soul, and she loved her family and friends dearly; from the oldest to the youngest--she loved them all.
In addition to her parents, Corrine is preceded in death by her husband, Gregory Hackett, Sr.; son, Gregory Hackett, Jr.; brothers: Robert Lewis, Don Lewis, Sr., Jason Otis Lewis Sr., and Richard Anderson; sisters: Loretta Anderson and Linda Lynn Moon; grandchildren: Gregory Hackett III, Kaleb Lewis, and Robert Lewis.
She is survived by her children: William Terry Lewis of Texas, Charemma Hackett of WV, Bryant Paul (Jessica) Lewis of Uniontown, Emma Hackett of Brownsville; nephews: Jacob Hackett of Washington, Jason Lewis of Brownsville, and Michael Anderson of Uniontown; niece, Brittany Johnson of Uniontown; 22 grandchildren: Josh Mapstone, Kain Evans, Bryant Paul Lewis, Jr., Kaylona Brooks, Justus Mapstone, Kendyl Cruse, Mya Fowler, Jahvon Brooks, Asia Cruse, Mikayla Brooks, Tyrese Lewis, Tyree Harris, Nadaje’ Lewis, Idayia Hackett, Destiny Hackett, Brooklyn Hackett, Shawn Lewis, Jr., Jayla Harris, Rayona Lewis, Bryson Lewis, Braxton Lewis, and Desirea Hackett; siblings and in-laws: Donna Johnican of Brownsville, PA, Carlos (Cynthia) Hackett of Hiller, PA, Charles (Yvonne) Hackett of Republic, PA, Vince Hackett of Pittsburgh, PA, Ada Lee and William Gibson—both of Philadelphia; special cousins and close friends: Anthony Shourty, Tim Johnson, Keith Williams, Thea Thomas, Toni Thomas, Rebakah Redding Harris, Lisa Praster-McFadden, Barb Harris, Ranee Hanan, Shawna Zekir, Jodi Tarr, and Victoria Nichole; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Friends will be received at the LANTZ Funeral Home, Inc., 297 E. Main St., Uniontown, PA on Thursday, March 6th from 3PM to 5PM, the hour of service with Pastor Cynthia Hackett eulogizing.
