Carl Edward Jones, Sr.

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Carl Edward Jones, Sr., who departed this life on December 2, 2025. Though life brought him challenges and struggles that shaped how others saw him, he remained loved deeply by the people who mattered most — his children, his grandchildren,  his great grandchildren and a few close family members who truly knew his heart beyond the hardships.

He was not a perfect man, nor did he pretend to be. He had flaws, made mistakes, and carried burdens many never understood. But to those who stood by him, he was more than the judgments of others. He was a father and a man who showed love in his own way, even when life made it difficult for him to express it.

We honor him not by painting a picture that isn’t real, but by acknowledging the truth of who he was — a human being with good moments, hard moments, and a story that belonged uniquely to him. He leaves behind the people who loved him unconditionally despite everything: his children and his close family, who now carry the memories only they can truly understand.

As we reflect on his life, we hold onto a small scripture for comfort:

Psalm 34:18 — “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.”

A reminder that even in our pain, God meets us with compassion.

We will gather to remember him and honor the parts of him that were meaningful to us. May he rest in peace.
