On Monday, December 3, 2018, Deacon Browder Ira Creech quietly and peacefully transitioned from earth to his heavenly home.
Browder was born August 23, 1922 in Norfolk, VA to the late Chester Creech and Bessie Lacey Creech Jones.
After graduating from Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, NC, Browser moved to Virginia and worked in the Norfolk ship yard as a welder. He later moved to Allison, Pa where he worked in Monessen as a coke worker at the Bridgeport mine and Clairton Works. He retired in 1982 after 25 years as a welder from Hillman Barge in Brownsville.
Browder accept the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and was a faithful member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church for 70 years; a member of the Usher Board, Trustee board, Men’s Chorus and Gospel Choir.
DBrowder was a kind and compassionate man, who was well known. He enjoyed traveling and sports, including the Pirates, Steelers, and boxing and wrestling matches.
Browder leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Helen Creech of Allison, Pa; daughter, Carolyn (Franklin) Hunt of Baltimore, MD; grandson, Damon (Kathleen) Hunt of Olney, ND; great-grandchildren: Xavier, Sebastien, Emilien, and Alexiane; nieces and nephews: Jacqueline Homan, Charles Bush, Ronald (Sonia) Bush, Robin (Leslie) Brown, James (Brenda) Evans, Tonya (Levi) Kirkland, Kenny Evans, Keenan Kirkland, and Caleb Kirkland; two special cousins: Virginia Lee and Margaret; and a host of other family and friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, Baltimore St, Brownsville, PA from 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., the hour of service with Pastor Douglas Wright, Eulogizing.
Interment will immediately follow at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
