Bertha "Skeets" Montgomery

Bertha "Skeets" Montgomery, age 88, of Uniontown, PA, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023, in the Laurel Ridge Nursing Home. She was born July 17, 1935, in Whitepost, VA, the daughter of Milk Green and Bessie Hill of Winchester, VA.

Bertha was a member of the Uniontown Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for 42 years. She retired from Bonton and from selling Avon after 30 years.

She was proceeded in death by her late husband, Harold " Buzzy" Montgomery of Hopwood, PA, and she was survived by her brother, Arthur; sisters: Katie and Evon -- all of Winchester, VA. She was also survived by her loving daughter, Anna M. Shannon and her husband, Lumont E. Shannon, Sr. of Uniontown, PA; grandson, Lumont E. Shannon, Jr.; one granddaughter, Jenaia M. Shannon of Uniontown, PA; great grandchildren: Raphael A. Cannon Jr., Sauncierre L. Cannon, Jonée M. Shannon, Royce Fairfax, Paige Fairfax, Anica Monroe, Monea Comeaux, and Michael Monroe; a dear loved one, Devona Shannon; and a host of great-great grandchildren, cousins, and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at the KINGDOM HALL of JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES on McClellandtown Road in Uniontown, PA, on Sunday, October 1st at 2 p.m., officiated by Mr. Timothy Stash.
