Barry Lee Tollar, age 62, of Uniontown, PA was called home by the Angels on Friday, December 19, 2025, to rest and smile with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was born on June 24, 1963.
Barry was a native of Uniontown and a graduate of Uniontown Area High School. Barry was a devoted member of Interfaith Assembly for Christ Church for the majority of his early life. He attended Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, and was a member of St. Paul's A.M.E. over the last 10 years. While a member of those churches, he gave his contribution to God and served on the Usher Board as an Usher.
Barry was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was unique in his own way. To know him was to understand him. He was polite to all those he met, helped anyone he could and always offered a place to stay and something to eat if anyone needed it. He volunteered his time helping at the local food bank and Honey's Helping Hands in Brierwood Acres. He had a beautiful spirit and lived his life his way. However, through it all, he knew that God was walking with him. His distinct walk was instantly recognizable from a distance, along with the sharp creases in his pants. His impact was felt by all who crossed his path.
He moved away from Uniontown several times throughout the years but due to his growing medical issues, he later returned to be around family and the people he knew for a lifetime. He will forever be remembered for his passion of family gatherings, crispy starched lines in his clothes, watching Good Times and the Golden Girls, cookouts, his love for music, and his enjoyment of card games.
Barry is preceded in death by his mother, Vivian "VT" Tollar; grandmother, Myrtle "MeMal" Ennis; brothers: Juan "Valdez" Tollar, Curt Tollar, and Stevie Tollar; nephews: Curtis T. "Dink" Bush and Dondre Tyre Reighard.
Barry was not married and had no children. He is survived by his only sister and last remaining sibling, Marlece "Lee Lee" White; nieces: Toni Lynn Nicklo and her children: Cristian, Yamz, and Amiah; Brandy Hemphill and children; nephew, Alex Huffman and children, and numerous nephews, nieces, other family, and friends.
Barry leaves a treasure of memories and funny stories to be cherished.
Services are entrusted to the LANTZ Funeral Home, Inc., 297 E. Main St., Uniontown, PA where friends will be received for his memorial on Saturday, January 17th from 3PM - 4:30 PM. Repast will immediately begin at 5 PM at the Brierwood Acres Hall, 1 Pershing Terr, Uniontown, PA. Interment is private.
