Anna M. Abbott, age 85, of Uniontown went to be with the Lord on May 26, 2025, at her daughter’s home in Pittsburgh, PA with family by her side. She was born on May 14, 1940, in Uniontown, PA, the daughter of the late Robert A. and Gertrude (Thomas) Tarpley.

Anna graduated from Georges Township High School’s class of 1958. She met her husband, David Nolan Abbott, Sr. and raised five beautiful children. She enjoyed planting flowers and working in her yard. Her biggest joy of all was raising her children.

In addition to her husband and parents, Anna is preceded in death by her siblings: Edith Scott, Robert H. Tarpley, Sr., Theodore Tarpley, and Simmie Tarpley.

Anna is survived by her children: Theresa Abbott of Fairchance, PA, David Nolan (Shar) Abbott, Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA, Phillip Abbott of Manassa, VA, Roseanne Abbott of Fairchance, PA, and Christine (Cory) Groncki of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren: David Nolan Abbott III, Natasia Shultz, Justin Groncki, and Caden Groncki; siblings: Betty Mays of Uniontown, PA, Emma Darby of Cleveland, OH, Arnold Tarpley, Sr. of Pittsburgh, PA, Raymond Tarpley of Uniontown, PA, Kenneth (June) Tarpley of Uniontown, PA, Patty (Jerome) Blannon of Jeannette, PA; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Friends will be received at the LANTZ Funeral Home, Inc., 297 E. Main St., Uniontown, PA on Saturday, June 7th from 11 AM – 1 PM. The funeral will begin at 1 PM followed by interment at the Fairchance Cemetery in Fairchance, PA.
