To the Family of Willa Mae (Davis) Jones;

There isn’t any way to prepare for the loss of a family member.  Suddenly, the loved one you had always turned to is gone.  In the quiet moments when the hurt is hard to bear, may love become your shelter and may the beauty of memories become your comfort.

You have the condolences of the members of St. Paul’s A.M.E. Church as you make your way through this passage.  It won’t be easy, but you can rely on the support of all your friends and church family.  May you be filled with faith and hope even in the midst of inescapable grief, and find comfort in and with each other.  Miss Willa Mae will be missed by everyone.

Words cannot adequately express our sympathy, but know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Miss Willa Mae must have been a remarkable person.  Just look around at her family and friends that are here to celebrate her life and her Home Going Service.

“Don't weep at my grave, for I am not there,

I've a date with a butterfly to dance in the air.

I'll be singing in the sunshine, wild and free,

Playing tag with the wind, while I'm waiting for thee.”

In His Service Always,

Rev. Alfred L. Thompson
And The Members of St. Paul’s A.M.E. Church

I first met Mr. and Mrs. Jones while I was conducting a Funeral at Lantz Funeral Home in Uniontown in the late 1990s.  They were interested and often encouraged me in my work in the Care Facilities.  We had a pleasant correspondence through the mail for years.  I was sorry to lately hear the news that Mrs. Jones passed away.  Our Prayers are with the Family.  We all are getting older.  May we be ready when THE LORD calls!
