To the Family of Arlene Tarpley;

There isn’t any way to prepare for the loss of a family member. Suddenly, the loved one you had always turned to is gone. In the quiet moments when the hurt is hard to bear, may love become your shelter and may the beauty of memories become your comfort.

You have the condolences of the members of St. Paul’s A.M.E. Church as you make your way through this passage. It won’t be easy, but you can rely on the support of all your friends and church family. May you be filled with faith and hope even in the midst of inescapable grief, and find comfort in and with each other. Arlene will be missed by everyone.

Words cannot adequately express our sympathy, but know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Arlene must have been a remarkable person. Just look around at her family and friends that are here to celebrate her life and her Home Going Service.

“Don't weep at my grave, for I am not there,
I've a date with a butterfly to dance in the air.
I'll be singing in the sunshine, wild and free,
Playing tag with the wind, while I'm waiting for thee.”

In His Service Always,

Rev. Alfred L. Thompson
And The Members of St. Paul’s A.M.E. Church

A heavy heart of sorrow, deep sympathy, and sadden emotions compel my need to pay reverence to “MS Arlene”.

I am forever grateful for her presence in my life, and the tutelage she provided to grow my character. I harbor monumental love and admiration for the woman that added value to my well-being. I am indebted to her children’s friendships, and for the love and grace she afforded me.

I join the Tarpley family and the community with sadness from her passing. MS Arlene’s memory is forever engraved in my heart.

Condolences to Maurice, Cedric, and Family.

Respectfully,
Harlan Ray Harris

To the Family of Mrs. Arlene Tarpley:

It is with deep sadness and much sympathy hearing the loss of your beloved mother.

Miss Arlene was a wonderful person who helped raise many of the youth in Lemon Wood Acres in the 60’s. She was a favorite of many. Her smile, laughter and kindness helped many young boys and girls grow into strong men and women of today. She was a beautiful part of our “village” growing up.

Miss Arlene will be greatly missed. Her spirit and love will always be a part of those who knew and loved her.
