Condolence Booklet

St. Paul's AME Church
   Posted Mon September 03, 2018
To the Family of Darias D. Evans;

There isn’t any way to prepare for the loss of a family member. Suddenly, the loved one you had always turned to is gone. In the quiet moments when the hurt is hard to bear, may love become your shelter and may the beauty of memories become your comfort.

You have the condolences of the members of St. Paul’s A.M.E. Church as you make your way through this passage. It won’t be easy, but you can rely on the support of all your friends and church family. May you be filled with faith and hope even in the midst of inescapable grief, and find comfort in and with each other. Darias will be missed by everyone.

Words cannot adequately express our sympathy, but know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Darias must have been a remarkable person. Just look around at his family and friends that are here to celebrate his life and his Home Going Service.

“Don't weep at my grave, for I am not there,

I've a date with a butterfly to dance in the air.

I'll be singing in the sunshine, wild and free,

Playing tag with the wind, while I'm waiting for thee.”

In His Service Always,

Rev. Alfred L. Thompson
And The Members of St. Paul’s A.M.E. Church

Today my sons will mourn the loss of someone they called their brother. Darias was a family member to all of us, not just a friend or someone they knew. Today GOD has taken his angel back. It's time to mourn but, also a time to rejoice. Mourn the loss of someone that has touched each of us in our own unique way. A time to rejoice that he's home with our Lord and Savoir. Today is a day to remember each time you got in trouble, each time you cracked up at the simple things, each football game and the memories each of us shared with Darias. Our thought & prayers are with each and everyone of you.
