Lincoln “Buddy” Coolidge Turpin, age 93, of Uniontown, Pa returned to God on Friday, June 16 at his home.  He was born on February 22, 1924 in Uniontown, Pa. the son of the late Elder Major and late Missionary Gertrude Turpin.  He is survived by his siblings: Bernice Edmonson of New York City and Harold Turpin of Thomasville, Ga.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings: Lettie Mannaway, Ethel Tarpley, Margaret Covington, Stella Winston, and Donald Turpin.
Lincoln was an honorary member of IBEW Local Union 3 and the former Shop Steward of the OZ Gedney.  Lincoln was initiated into the manufacturing divison of Local Union 3 on May 1, 1952.  He worked most of his career at OZ Gedney, as a manufacturer of electrical fitting and conduits.  Because he was always eager to help his fellow co-workers, he was appointed to shop steward .  Lincoln also served on the manufacturing negotiating committee, organizing committee, Labor Day Parade committee, and Local 3 Death Benefit Society , where he served as a trustee.  Lincoln accepted all of his nieces and nephews as if they were his own and he knew all of their birthdays and always made sure that he sent a card and money.
Lincoln is survived by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends all over the world.  Lincoln will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

I will miss Buddy so much. His kind voice and actions will always be remembered. He never missed a holiday or birthday.

What a kind man. His passing has left a void in the Universe.
