-Psalm 91: 2

Pauline Jordan, age 93, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, resigned her soul to God on Thursday, the 15th of June, 2017 in the company of her children.

Pauline was born on July 12, 1923 to her parents James and Rose Lark-Lampkin in Edenborn, PA.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Clarence Lark, as well as her late-husbands Tom Coles and Henry Jordan.

Pauline attended German Township High School in McClellandtown, PA. In the early 1940’s, she married Tom Coles, and of this union, in 1942, her beloved son Thomas was born. After the passing of her husband, Tom, she left Edenborn to pursue work in Newport News, VA, New York City and Cleveland, OH for several years. Upon her return, she met and married Henry Jordan and was soon after blessed with a baby girl, Sharon. During this time, Pauline continued to live a life of care and service, and began work as a teacher’s aid at McClellandtown, Elementary School, where she was passionate about education, with a focus in Mathematics. Also active in her community, she held a membership at the Masontown Senior Citizens Center, serving as the President during the 1990’s. Pauline was a member of the First Church of God, in Edenborn, PA. In the later years of her life, she joined in fellowship with the First Baptist Church of Ronco, PA, and was a member of the the Senior Missionaries.

Pauline leaves a wonderful legacy and many  loved ones who will cherish her memory, including; her son, Thomas Coles (Myra) of Palm Coast, FL; daughter, Sharon Dove (Keith) of Chantilly, VA;  Grandchildren Sherman Taylor (deceased), Monica Coles, Robert Tipton, Rachel and Olivia Dove, and a host of great and great-great  grandchildren. Also mourning her passing are a host of relatives and friends, including her longtime friend, Rev. Gwen Nichols.

The family wishes to send a special thanks to the staff and workers of Mt. Macrina Manor and Your Comforting Care of Uniontown, PA for their support and care of Pauline as she peacefully transitioned into eternal rest.

Pauline was a loyal servant of God, phenomenal mother, matriarch and dear friend. She will be deeply missed.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Ms Pauline who worked with us for years
at German Central. She was so kind to us and the students. She truly was our aide. We remember her correcting students in a motherly fashion. She was a valued friend and coworker always having the children's interests at heart, strong when she had to be but so gentle and loving. Our sympathies
to Sharon and Tom and all her family and friends.
